Year 6 Computing

This term in Year 6 we have been looking at how data-loggers can help us carry out an experiment using a heart rate monitor. Each pupil has set up the data-logger to record their heart rate whilst resting and again after exercise. The pupils will then examine their data. We have also been using Scratch to design a body parts quiz. Using Scratch requires problem solving skills and being able to develop initial ideas for a solution to a problem, refining and revising ideas through analysis and logical reasoning, and completing a solution through sustained focus and perseverance.Pupils using Scratch design and write programs that accomplish specific goals by solving problems by sectioning them into smaller parts to detect and correct errors in algorithms.
