Sports Premium Funding 2025-26
At Holt Farm Junior School, we believe that every learner should have the opportunity to enjoy being active and develop a lifelong love of physical activity and sport. Positive experiences of PE, sport and physical activity during childhood can help develop healthy habits that continue throughout life.
We aim to inspire all of our learners to be active for life, while developing their confidence, resilience, teamwork and enjoyment through a wide range of sporting opportunities. We recognise the many benefits that physical activity can have on children’s physical health, mental wellbeing, self-esteem and relationships with others.
Through our PE lessons, clubs, competitions and sporting events, we provide opportunities for every learner to participate, challenge themselves, try new activities and celebrate their achievements. We are proud to represent Holt Farm Junior School at competitions and events and want our learners to embrace these experiences, enjoy competing and feel a strong sense of pride in being part of our school.
Our ultimate aim is for our learners to leave Holt Farm Junior School with positive memories of sport, a love of being active and the confidence to continue participating in physical activity throughout their lives.
Purpose of Sports Premium Funding
During the 2025/26 academic year, Holt Farm Junior School received a Sports Premium allocation of £18,600.
The funding was strategically allocated to support the development and sustainability of high-quality PE, sport and physical activity across the school. Expenditure included the purchase of PE and sporting equipment, continuing professional development (CPD) for staff, supporting SENd pupils in PE, subscriptions to high-quality schemes of work, and membership of the Castle Point and Rochford Sports Partnership, which provides access to a wide range of inter-school competitions, sporting events and participation opportunities.
Sports Premium funding was also used to cover transport costs associated with attending competitions and sporting events, ensuring that our learners were able to represent Holt Farm Junior School and participate in a broad range of experiences beyond the school environment.
